The flywheel slicer model 7 was built in the period between 1922 and 1928. The model 7 is the second model that is also assembled in Italy in the plants of the Brevetti van Berkel Italia in Milan. This slicer is a variant of the Berkel model 5 The Italian version of the salami fixing arm is open in the direction of the flywheel to allow even larger products to be fixed more quickly. The Berkel flywheel slicer model 7 has a 15 position slice thickness adjustment fixed to the upper right part of the machine body. This slicer has evolved in Italy with the production of the model 10 and the model 12. The slicer Model 7 was originally painted in red, metallic gray black and ivory, while the metal parts are chromed. The sharpener for the blade, placed in the upper part of the shoulder, is the same one that is set in the Berkel model 5 and of the same shape, but different, from the one set in the model 8h. The Berkel slicer model 7 has a net weight of 105 Kg. It was installed in various shops and butchers directly on the work benches, however on request its original pedestal produced by Berkel was optionally supplied.
